Interacting with the kitten consists of stroking the kitten, playing with toys (Ball of wool or Toy mouse), or catching rats. If your kitten catches 100 mice, you will be awarded a cat training medal.

A kitten will take approximately 2.5 to grow into a Pet cat, at which time you can trade it for 100 Death runes to Civilians in West Ardougne. If you have completed the Easy Ardougne tasks, the price increases to 200.

After completion of Purple Cat, you will be able to have Wendy change your overgrown cat to purple. Alternatively, you can had your cat or kitten catch Hell-rats and continued to raise it, it become an Overgrown Hellcat.
