Talk to Morgan in his house in Draynor Village and he will inform you that a vampyre is terrorising the village and demanding frequent blood payments. He then asks you if you'll help him and other villagers with this problem. Accept and Morgan will direct you to his friend Dr. Harlow, a retired vampyre slayer who can be found in the Blue Moon Inn in Varrock.
Note: Before leaving, climb the stairs and search the drawers next to the bed to find a clove of Garlic which will be of use later in the quest.

Make your way to the Blue Moon Inn, found just north of the Varrock lodestone, and talk to Dr. Harlow. Ask him if he's the famous vampyre slayer and you'll inform him that Morgan sent you to learn how to kill a vampyre. He'll agree to teach you if you buy him a Beer, so buy one from the Bartender for 2 coins and give it to Harlow. He'll now tell you that to kill a vampyre, you must use a stake and he'll give you a Stake and a Stake hammer. He'll also mention that Garlic weakens vampyres and advise you on how to fight and kill them. If you do not yet have garlic, you can speak to Morgan. He will tell you Dr. Harlow always told him to keep a supply, but his supply has been getting smaller because his wife throws it out. He then tells you that you are free to look around for some that she missed. Search the set of drawers upstairs in the northwest corner of the room next to the bed to get garlic.

Make sure you have combat equipment, food, Garlic, the Stake, and the Stake hammer, then head to Draynor Manor, found just north of the Draynor Village lodestone. Enter the manor and go into the east room with descending stairs and walk down them.

Open the coffin on the opposite side of the room and you'll see a quick cutscene of you stabbing the Stake into Count Draynor. However, you'll then get a message saying that the Stake isn't deep enough. The Count will now attack you and you must get him down to low health, after which you'll automatically finish him off by hitting the Stake into his heart with the Stake hammer and he'll crumble to dust.
Note: If you do not automatically use the Stake hammer, try manually using it on the Count. If you leave the room without killing the Count, you'll need to get another Stake from Dr. Harlow.

Now that the Count is dead, head back to Morgan and tell him the good news.
