The Smithing experience for a perfectly made ceremonial sword is enough to generate 1% respect in the Artisans' Workshop, the same price to buy a sword polishing kit. As such, it is recommended to still avoid breaking swords if you have these kits with you, as it will diminish the net amount of respect you are earning.
