Troll Romance

<ol> <li> Make your way to the <a href="/rs3/map/troll-stronghold-map">Troll Stronghold</a> by following one of the routes on the map below: <br /><br /> <span style="color:yellow">Yellow route</span>: Cast the Trollheim teleport spell (requires 61 <a href="/rs3/skill/magic">Magic</a> and completion of the <a href="/rs3/quest/eadgars-ruse">Eadgar's Ruse</a> quest). Climb down the mountain and make your way into the stronghold. <br /><br /> <span style="color:red">Red route</span>: Start at the Rellekka lodestone and follow the path to the Secret entrance to the stronghold (<a href="/database/item/climbing-boots">Climbing boots</a> are required). You will find yourself on the bottom floor, so head to the other side of the room and climb up a floor. Go through the door into main corridor and follow it south until you come to another door on the west wall and enter it to find <a href="/database/npc/ug">Ug</a>. <br /><br /> <span style="color:blue">Blue route</span>: Start at the Burthorpe lodestone and follow the path until you reach the bottom of the Trollheim mountain. If you have 47 Agility, then you may use the shortcuts along the mountain to make it to the other side. If you do not have the required Agility level, then follow the spiral path to the top. Turn Protect from Missiles on and run past the Thrower trolls. When you have made it to the other side head northwest to the entrance of the Troll Stronghold. <br /><br /> <img src="/assets/runehq/image/quests/p2p/trollromance/gettingthere.png" alt="Getting There" /> <br /><br /> </li> <li> If you've taken the Blue or Yellow route, in the stronghold head south and climb down a set of stairs to find yourself in the kitchen. Go through the door to the north and then immediately into the room to the west. Near the southern wall you will find <a href="/database/npc/ug">Ug</a> who is crying. Ask him why he's crying to find out that he's in love with Aga, who unfortunately is in love with the aggressive troll called <a href="/database/monster/arrg">Arrg</a>. Tell <a href="/database/npc/ug">Ug</a> that you will talk to <a href="/database/npc/aga">Aga</a> to help him. <br /><br /> <span class="smallbold">Note: </span>Beware of <a href="/database/monster/mountain-troll-level-75">Mountain trolls</a> inside the stronghold. <br /><br /> <img src="/assets/runehq/image/quests/p2p/trollromance/ug.png" alt="Ug" /> <br /><br /> </li> <li> Go to the other end of the room and through the door to talk to <a href="/database/npc/aga">Aga</a> about her love life. She will tell you that if <a href="/database/monster/arrg">Arrg</a> loves her, he will show it by bringing her a <a href="/database/item/trollweiss">Trollweiss</a> flower. Talk to <a href="/database/monster/arrg">Arrg</a>, in the same room, to find that he does not love Aga and has no idea where to find the flower. Return to <a href="/database/npc/ug">Ug</a>, who will tell you that you need to speak to someone very experienced with the mountains to find out more about the <a href="/database/item/trollweiss">Trollweiss</a>. <br /><br /> <img src="/assets/runehq/image/quests/p2p/trollromance/aga.png" alt="Aga" /> <br /><br /> </li> <li> Head to <a href="/database/npc/freda">Freda</a>'s hut west of the <a href="/rs3/guild/warriors-guild">Warriors' Guild</a>. She will inform you that you need a <a href="/database/item/sled-waxed">Sled</a> to reach the location where the <a href="/database/item/trollweiss">Trollweiss</a> flower grows. Ask her what is needed to make a <a href="/database/item/sled-unwaxed">Sled</a> and she will then send you off to <a href="/database/npc/dunstan">Dunstan</a> to learn how to make one. <br /><br /> <span class="smallbold">Note: </span>The easiest way to reach <a href="/database/npc/freda">Freda</a>'s hut is to use the Burthorpe lodestone home teleport and head west past the Troll Invasion wall and Death Plateau and then south. <br /><br /> <img src="/assets/runehq/image/quests/p2p/trollromance/freda.png" alt="Tenzing" /> <br /><br /> </li> <li> Speak with <a href="/database/npc/dunstan">Dunstan</a> at his black smith east of the castle in <a href="/rs3/city/burthorpe">Burthorpe</a>. He will agree to make you a <a href="/database/item/sled-unwaxed">Sled</a> if you bring him an <a href="/database/item/iron-bar">Iron bar</a>, a <a href="/database/item/rope">Rope</a>, and <a href="/database/item/yew-logs">Yew</a> or <a href="/database/item/maple-logs">Maple logs</a>. Hand him the items and he will give you a <a href="/database/item/sled-unwaxed">Sled (unwaxed)</a>. He will also tell you that it needs to be waxed. Use the <a href="/database/item/bucket-of-wax">Bucket of wax</a> with the <a href="/database/item/swamp-tar">Swamp tar</a>, whilst having a <a href="/database/item/cake-tin">Cake tin</a> in your inventory, to produce some <a href="/database/item/wax">Wax</a>. Use it on the <a href="/database/item/sled-unwaxed">Sled (unwaxed)</a> to make a <a href="/database/item/sled-waxed">Sled (waxed)</a>. <br /><br /> <img src="/assets/runehq/image/quests/p2p/trollromance/dunstan.png" alt="Dunstan" /> <br /><br /> </li> <li> Travel back to Trollheim mountain and take the path leading to the northwest. Follow to path until you reach an impressive looking ice gate. Enter the cave to the west of the gate and exit it through the crevasse in the northwestern corner. <br /><br /> <span class="smallbold">Note: </span>Beware of the icy cold environment on your way to the cave because it may drain your run energy, lower your stats and deal some damage. Beware of <a href="/database/monster/ice-troll">Ice trolls</a> in the cave. <br /><br /> <img src="/assets/runehq/image/quests/p2p/trollromance/cave.png" alt="Cave" /> <br /><br /> </li> <li> You will appear at the foot of the Trollweiss mountain. Head south and look for a slope. Ride the <a href="/database/item/sled-waxed">Sled (waxed)</a> and slide down the slope. <br /><br /> <span class="smallbold">Note: </span>Beware of <a href="/database/monster/ice-wolf">Ice wolves</a> at the foot the mountain. <br /><br /> <img src="/assets/runehq/image/quests/p2p/trollromance/sledding.png" alt="Sledding" /> <br /><br /> </li> <li> When the ride is over, unequip the <a href="/database/item/sled-waxed">Sled (waxed)</a>. Head west to a flower bed and pick up one of the <a href="/database/item/trollweiss">Trollweiss</a>. <br /><br /> <img src="/assets/runehq/image/quests/p2p/trollromance/flowers.png" alt="Flowers" /> <br /><br /> </li> <li> Return to <a href="/database/npc/ug">Ug</a> in the <a href="/rs3/map/troll-stronghold-map">Troll Stronghold</a>. Although he will accept the <a href="/database/item/trollweiss">Trollweiss</a> flower, he still cannot give it to <a href="/database/npc/aga">Aga</a> because he is afraid of <a href="/database/monster/arrg">Arrg</a>. <a href="/database/npc/ug">Ug</a> will ask you to deal with <a href="/database/monster/arrg">Arrg</a>. Before you proceed to the next step, prepare yourself to battle <a href="/database/monster/arrg">Arrg</a>. <br /><br /> </li> <li> Go to the other end of the room and through the door. Tell <a href="/database/monster/arrg">Arrg</a> (level 77) that you have come to kill him. He will take you outside to fight because it should not take place in front of a lady. You will appear at the troll fighting arena and the fight will commence. <a href="/database/monster/arrg">Arrg</a> attacks with both melee (warhammer) and ranged attacks (throws rocks). <br /><br /> <span class="smallbold">Note: </span><a href="/database/monster/arrg">Arrg</a> is capable of hitting over 600, so switching between Protection prayers to reduce the damage is advised. <br /><br /> <img src="/assets/runehq/image/quests/p2p/trollromance/arrg.png" alt="Arrg" /> <br /><br /> </li> <li> When <a href="/database/monster/arrg">Arrg</a> has been defeated, talk to <a href="/database/npc/ug">Ug</a> to claim your reward. <br /><br /> Congratulations!
