  1. Head to the building north of the observatory, north of Castle Wars, and talk to the Observatory Professor. He will explain to you that the pesky goblins next door have broken his telescope and he needs parts to fix it. He suggests talking to his assistant. However if you already have the items with you, you do not have to talk to the Observatory assistant. Talk to the professor again and give him the Bronze bar, Molten glass, and 3 wooden Planks. After giving him all the items, he will tell that he needs a Lens mould to craft the glass.

Note: The easiest way to reach the Observatory is by using a Ring of duelling to teleport to Castle Wars and walking north from there.

  2. Leave the house and head to the ruins, east of the Professor's house. Climb down the stairs, in the western house, into the Observatory Dungeon.

  3. Scattered throughout the dungeon, you will find a number of chests (See map above). One of the chests holds the Goblin kitchen key. Open and search that chest to find the key. If you open the wrong chest, a Poison spider will appear and poison you.

Note: The key is commonly found in the second chest south east of the stairs, although it can differ from player to player.

    Step 3

  4. Return to the area with the stairs leading to the ruins. From there, head west until you find an area with a closed guard and a sleeping guard. Prod the guard to wake him up and he will attack you. Open the gate and go in quickly. Inspect the goblin stove to discover the Lens mould.

Note: When you prod the level 1 sleeping guard, he will turn into a level 42 Goblin guard

  5. Go back to the observatory house and talk to the professor. He will give you an excuse that he cannot make the Lens himself because his crafting level is not high enough. Now, use the Lens mould with the Molten glass and you will produce a Lens. Talk to the professor again and he will ask you to meet him at the observatory.

    Step 5

  6. Descend down into the dungeon again and make your way to the other set of stairs further in the dungeon (See map above). Climb up those stairs and you will be in the Observatory. Talk to the Observatory Professor and a cut scene will occur in which he fixes the telescope.

  7. Go up the stairs to the second floor of the observatory and talk to the professor again. He will tell you to look trough the telescope and identify the constellation. Look through the telescope and tell the professor what constellation you saw.

Note: If you your answer is wrong, he will tell you to go downstairs and look at the charts on the walls. The charts have a list of constellations, clicking on the name will show you the star pattern.

    Step 7

When the Observatory Professor has given you your reward look through the telescope again and you will see the constellation Scorpio. Head back to the professor's house and talk to the Observatory assistant. He will give you a Jug of wine and mention the Astrology book on a nearby table.

Read the book to find information about Scorpius grave. Travel north of the observatory to Zamorak worship site. Southeast of the site, you will find the Spirit of Scorpius, wandering around a grave. He will give you an Unholy mould and tell you to return when you are worthy. Use the mould and a Silver bar at any furnace to make an Unstrung emblem. Now use the emblem with a Ball of wool to create an Unpowered symbol. Return to the grave and the spirit will bless the symbol, making it a Unholy symbol (Zamorak).
