During the Call of the Ancestors quest Xinachto is locked up in the temple behind the Ancient goebie and the Ancient carer.
Once the quest ends, Xinachto wanders between the Nemi Forest and the village of Otot. While you have the option to talk to Xinachto, you will only be told "Xinachto doesn't respond to you. It seems different somehow."
