Fortress guards play the following roles in these quests:
<ul>
<li>The Death of Chivalry, you will need to convince the guard near the gate to allow you to enter the Fortress.</li>
<li>Curse of the Black Stone, they are questioned about <a href="$plnk3478">Tessa</a>'s whereabouts and prove to be only somewhat helpful.</li>
</ul>
Whether on quest or not, the guard at the entrance gate will not permit you to enter if you are not wearing an appropriate disguise. They will then give you a description of what you can wear for entrance.
