Foppish Pierre is a wealthy merchant who works for the greedy merchant Rolo the Stout. He carries expensive spices, which the player steals from him for Let Them Eat Pie. The spices are needed to make a terrible pie that would make Rolo the Stout ill into a mouth-watering pie.
