Blaze watches after a network beacon between Varrock and Canafis. He can also provide information on the other beacons.
To light his beacon, a you must have 20 identical logs (of any type that you can light), a tinderbox, and level 43 Firemaking. Once the beacon has been lit, you can give Blaze five logs (same type that were used to light the beacon) for him to tend the beacon with. This allows the beacon to stay lit longer.
He also gives you information about the killer of the elf, during Missing, Presumed Death.
