Even though he is named as a pickpocketing trainer, you can only steal from him with use of a blackjack. To use him as a training method, you will need:

41+ Thieving
Completion of the first two capers (From Tiny Acorns and Lost Her Marbles)
At least partial completion of The Feud (to step 9) to learn how to use a blackjack for Thieving

When you have met these requirements, you will be able to knock him out with a Rubber blackjack (or better) and pickpocket him for Thieving experience - the amount gained scales with your level. You will also gain 4 Hanky Points for each time you successfully obtain loot.

Functionally operates the same as a Coshing volunteer.
