Item Uses

Used to help play Penguin Hide And Seek.

Notes

This item is not required to be in your inventory to play, but they can make it easier. Features of this device do NOT work on Agents and include:
  • Scan
    • Activation begins a 1 minute long pulse wherein any penguins that end up in range will get an arrow over them as well as one on the minimap to show their location.
    • Can be configured to spy for ALL penguins or just the ones that have not been found. (See "Inspect")
    • Pulse will remain constant regardless of proximity to penguins.
    • Pulse can be stopped by Right-clicking and selecting "Scan" a second time.
    • If there are multiple penguins in the area, you will be given an option to choose which you would like to mark.
    • Default area is a 41x41 square. Area will be upgraded to a 61x61 square after spying 10 penguins.
  • Hint
    • Opens up a window where you can select which penguin you would like to receive a location hint for.
    • Penguins which have already been found will list "(spotted)" on their button.
    • Hints can be received as many times as desired/necessary.
  • Inspect
    • Opens a window which allows you to check your penguin points or configure scanning options.
    • Penguin points window will inform you of your number of points (caps at 250), how many you have found this week, and how many total penguins you have ever found (since September 14th, 2020).
    • Scanning options will simply toggle if it will search for all penguins or only the unspotted ones. You cannot manually pick between the two options.
  • Zap
    • Will freeze any nearby penguins for 3 minutes.
    • Cannot be used until you have found 40 penguins (automatically unlocks).
    • Cooldown of 15 seconds will begin after the function is used and once the penguin unfreezes, it cannot be refrozen for 1 minute.
