In order to repair the model, you need to have Thread, a Needle, Silk, and a Knife in your inventory.
Once it is repaired, you will need to dye the flag to match the flag colors shown on the ghost pirate ship North West of Port Phasmatys. The top, bottom, and skull emblem must each match. When it has been dyed, you will need to present it to the Old man on the main deck to obtain a Chest key.
