The Dark dagger is used during the quest depending on your choice. The dagger is given to Ungadulu in exchange for a Holy force spell to aid you in the battles. If you chose the quick route in the quest, it must be used to kill Viyeldi, after which it will turn into a Glowing dagger. If lost, it can be retrieved by talking to Echned Zekin.
