The egg can only be obtained once the player has unlocked all the rest of six spider miniature-boss pets (Gavin, Bill, Pete, Dave, Steve, and Lana). The first egg used will unlock Barry, and the second egg will unlock Mallory.
As players reach a certain kill-count threshold (approximately 200) for Araxxi, they will get an increased chance of her dropping this item.
